SAMPLE Itinerary
26th August – 2nd September 2026
This is a small-group London experience designed for connection, ease and shared exploration,
Social and intentional, without being intense or over-structured
A mix of planned group activities and free time to explore, rest or follow your own interests
Focused on local gems and real London experiences rather than traditional sightseeing or luxury
Clear meeting points and timings, with support available throughout the week
Below is a sample itinerary to give you a sense of the pace and types of experiences we’ll share. The final itinerary will be similar, but adjusted based on the group’s interests and what’s happening in London at the time.
-
Arrivals and a proper London welcome
We arrive in London and settle into the hotel during the afternoon, with time to unpack, freshen up and ease into the week.
In the evening, we come together for a relaxed welcome dinner at a local Ghanaian kitchen. It’s a simple, low-pressure start with shared plates, first introductions and the feeling of being properly settled.
After dinner, we keep things flexible. We might put some music on and chat into the evening, or wind down early if that’s what people need.
-
Exploring ‘Little Jamaica’
We spend the morning in Brixton, starting with a visit to the Black Cultural Archives to ground the week in Black British history. Afterwards, we explore the area at street level, moving through markets, bookshops, record stores and food spots, with time to browse and grab lunch.
In the afternoon, we come back together for a Nigerian cooking class hosted by me. We cook, eat and talk in a relaxed, home-style setting.
After the sun sets, we head out together to see a show at Top Secret Comedy Club. Prepare to be challenged and entertained as you learn to decipher British humour.
-
Touring ‘Little Lagos’
The morning is slower, with time to rest or explore independently.
Later, in the early evening, we head to Peckham, walking along Rye Lane before settling into the Prince of Peckham, an iconic black-owned pub, for food, drinks and atmosphere. From there, the night naturally opens up, whether that means dancing, bar hopping or simply staying out longer than planned.
-
A change of pace: Brighton by the sea
Midway through the week, we step away from the city for a day trip to Brighton. The pace is easy. Beach walks, fish and chips, a swim if you’re feeling brave, or simply sitting by the sea and doing very little.
We return to London in the evening. The night is unstructured and open, whether that looks like a quiet one at home or spontaneous plans, depending on how everyone feels.
-
Notting Hill Carnival: day one
We start the day together with a bottomless brunch at a Black-owned spot. It’s a social way to ease into the energy of Carnival with food, drinks and plenty of time to connect before the crowds.
After brunch, Carnival begins.
We head into Notting Hill together, with guidance on where to go, how to move through the crowds and when to regroup. Expect sound systems on every corner, street food, dancing, colour and chaos.
As the day spills into evening, the pace loosens. Some people head to after-parties, others keep following the music or link up later. We’ll share options and meeting points, but the night is yours to shape.
-
Carnival: Part 2
Monday Carnival hits differently. The energy is higher, the sound systems are sharper and everyone knows exactly why they’re here. We move with less structure and more instinct, following basslines through the streets. Expect bigger moments, more buzzballs, sweat, laughter and at least one story you’ll still be telling months later.
-
London landmarks
Earlier in the day, we take in some of central London’s most recognisable sights, including Westminster, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Tower Bridge. We move between areas at an easy pace, including a ride on the Thames by Uber Boat, which offers a different view of the city from the water. After that, there’s time to explore independently, visit a museum or do some shopping.
Later, we explore Camden, walking along the canals and through the market before heading up to Primrose Hill for a picnic and wide views across the city.
In the evening, we head out for a live music night at a venue such as the Jazz Café, before coming together for a farewell group meal at a local Eritrean restaurant. It’s a relaxed final night to reflect, laugh and properly close out the week together.
-
Farewell
We check out in the morning and say our goodbyes. Some people head straight to the airport, while others continue their time in London independently.
